I arrived into Kathmandu late last night and from what I could tell, the city looks very poor. I am staying in a program house for the next week until I move to the monastery where I will be teaching Buddhist monks. I am living with the director of my program along with 20+ volunteers. The director, Rajeesh, is very very nice. He lives here with his wife and kid and hosts volunteers. He says this is our house, and we are all family here. The house is beautiful and the views are phenomenonal.
